UMS-10.0.0-x86_64.tgz - When browsing a TV show in the Media Library, all videos across all seasons are visible.
- There are two new folders within the Movies and TV Shows folders - Filter by Progress and Filter by Information.
- Filter by Progress contains the Watched and Unwatched folders which used to sit within the Videos folder in the Media Library
- Filter by Information lets you filter the videos by a new rich metadata set (actors, genres, country, director, genre, IMDb rating, release date).
- Alongside that is a similar folder Filter by Information which lets you filter the videos by API metadata (actors, genres, etc.)
- New folders Recently Added, Recently Played, In Progress and Most Played are in the Media Library
- Added breadcrumbs at the top of each page
- When in the TV Shows area of the Media Library, the TV shows themselves are shown as thumbnails, with covers from the API
- When browsing a TV show, a movie, or a TV episode, any API metadata is displayed along with a large cover image, including actors, awards, classification, country, directors, genres, plot, ratings, year, and total seasons.
- On those pages above, the colors on the pages are based on the cover image
- Clicking on an individual actor, country, director, genre, or start year, takes you to a list of other media that matches that metadata
- The last few items in the Recently Added, Recently Played, In Progress and Most Played folders are displayed on the front page
- Each TV show and movie has an IMDb icon and direct link if one is found

Universal Media Server is a project forked off of the PS3 Media Server which includes a few enhancements over the original project. The program was designed to enable your Playstation 3 console to playback media formats which were traditionally not supported, the most popular being MKV files.
The main function, apart from being a media server, is to transcode video so that your DLNA-compliant media player can display high-definition movie files without issues.
The main program interface is certainly not pretty, yet it is certainly functional and well laid-out. Upon launching Universal Media Server, you are greeted with the Status tab which displays the trancoding status. Moving on, there is a Traces tab which acts as a server log and beside that is the general configuration tab which allows you to make changes to the default settings of the application like the language, ability to install the server as a Windows Service and advanced network settings.
The navigation tab is where you're given the option of setting thumbnails on your media device, setting up the cache and modifying general display settings.
Where the meat of the program lays is in the Transcoding Settings tab where you can make fine adjustments to transcode settings such as the video codecs, audio codecs and more. The default settings here are to use open source engines such as MPlayer, FFmpeg Audio and VLC Video Streaming. In general, you should leave these settings alone unless you're experiencing issues.
Overall, Universal Media Server is an admirable project which allows you to play (formerly) non-traditional video files on your television or mobile phone Minecraft mods for mac 1.6.2. with the help of consoles or web TV devices.
